Lee Hammond is the middle and high school art teacher.  She attended Converse College in Spartanburg, SC for both undergraduate and graduate degrees.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art (concentrations in ceramics and sculpture) and her Master’s degree in Art Education.  She has taught art to all ages in South Carolina, North Carolina, and now Tennessee. Lee chose the path of art education through her experience as a camp counselor in the mountains of North Carolina.  This experience sparked her love for the outdoors and enthusiasm for being a positive role model in a child’s life. Blending her love of art and camp together she began her journey in education. Lee is excited about sharing her passion with the arts and the outdoors to Ivy Academy.

Lee and her fiance relocated to Chattanooga last year and are enjoying every minute of it.  She enjoys making pottery, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, fly fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
