Ivy is officially partnering with Journey Psychotherapy Center to provide mental health therapy services at a lower cost for students on our campus. This school year, Anna Richmond will be on campus once a week to meet with clients.
We want to make sure fees and transportation do not stop students from getting help! You can support Ivy Academy students in need by making a donation to the Mental Health Matters Program. Insurance cannot be applied to meetings with the Journey therapists, but if the reduced fee is not feasible for a family, this program will help cover bills. Speak with your school counselor if you want to learn more about the scholarship options.
Program Description: While school counselors work on short-term, solution-focused counseling concerning social, emotional, and academic needs at school, therapists work with long-term, in-depth issues, including anxiety and depression, grief, trauma, etc. Ivy Academy is collecting donations to help pay for Ivy students’ therapy sessions. For those who cannot find a therapist in-network, or are unable to pay the full session amount, we want to help!
How to Donate: Please send a check or cash to Ivy Academy, including “Mental Health Matters” on the note line. Every $10 dollars donated equals one volunteer hour for Ivy families.
Students referred through the counseling department at Ivy will qualify for the scholarship. If you have any questions, please contact Meg Sutter or Alicia Holbrook.
